Disconnect Instagram from DMNexa
Learn what disconnecting does, what remains in your DMNexa account, and how to reconnect the channel later.
Open More, choose Connect, select the Instagram disconnect action, and confirm it. New message events stop syncing, and DMNexa immediately removes the stored conversations and messages for that disconnected Instagram account.
Disconnect Instagram if you stop using the account for selling, connected the wrong account, or no longer want supported message events sent to DMNexa.
Disconnect the channel
- Open More → Connect.
- Find the connected Instagram account.
- Choose Disconnect.
- Review the confirmation and proceed.
Disconnect is a connection change, not deletion of the Instagram account.
What changes
- New supported Instagram message events stop flowing through that connection.
- Conversation-to-order creation from new messages is unavailable until a supported account is connected.
- Stored conversations and messages for that Instagram connection are deleted immediately.
- Existing DMNexa orders are not automatically cancelled.
- Other account data remains subject to the DMNexa privacy and retention terms.
You may also review Meta’s connected-app settings if you want to revoke authorization at the platform level.
Connect again later
Return to Connect and complete the Instagram authorization flow again. If you choose a different professional account, verify the displayed username before proceeding.
To remove the entire seller account and request deletion of associated data, use the account deletion action in Settings or follow Delete your DMNexa account and data.
Frequently asked questions
Does disconnecting delete my Instagram account?
No. It removes or disables the DMNexa connection; it does not delete the Instagram account itself.
Does disconnecting delete all DMNexa orders?
No. Disconnecting the channel and deleting the DMNexa account are separate actions.
